Web Publisher Uses Text Links to Raise Money for Animals

Website www.petsfund.com is selling text links to raise $900.00 for a no kill animal shelter in Zimmerman Minnesota.

Elk River, MN (PRWEB) September 25, 2006 -- In 2005 Web Publisher John Gall of Elk River had an idea to use the internet to raise funds for Pleading Paws Pet Rescue, a Zimmerman Minnesota no kill animal shelter. He created a website www.petsfund.com and placed advertising known as "Affiliate" ads.

He then asked visitors to click through the ads when doing their Christmas shopping. The advertisers pay a commission based on the online sales generated by the ads. The idea was to donate the commission to Pleading Paws. Unfortunately only $30.00 in commission was generated by the website.

In 2006 a new effort is being launched based on the concept used by sites like the Million Dollar Pixel where 1,000,000 pixels were sold for $1.00 each. The concept is to sell simple text links to websites, blogs and businesses for a low price of $10.00 where the link will remain on www.PetsFund.Com until 9/23/2007. If successful the effort will begin again. The goal is to raise $900.00 by selling 90 text links on the website. Those that purchase the links gain a small boost in possible rankings in search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN because links act like votes for websites and blogs.

For additional information please contact John Gall 651-335-4385 or better yet, visit www.petsfund.com and buy a text link of your own.
