Huron Icehawks have a number of fun events planned for two home games this week, including Mascot Mania, a wacky on-ice game of broomball that will feature area mascots, and fundraisers for several organizations.

Wednesday's game versus Kalamazoo will serve as a fundraiser for the American Red Cross and Landmark Academy. Purchase a $10 ticket voucher at the American Red Cross office, 615 Pine Street, Port Huron or Landmark Academy, 4800 Lapeer Road, Kimball, and $3 from each sale will go back to the group.

Friday's game with Fort Wayne is a fundraiser for the Port Huron Tennis House. Buy a $10 ticket voucher at the Tennis House and $5 of each ticket sold will go back to the Port Huron Tennis House Youth Foundation. Several Tennis House students will also show off their skills on the ice.

Area mascots will also converge on McMorran Arena Friday to go toe-to-toe with Icehawks mascot Hawkey in a crazy game of broomball.

The following mascots are scheduled to participate: Lou E. Loon of the Great Lakes Loons, Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle and Sammy Spirit of the Saginaw Spirit, Shooter of the Plymouth Whalers, Furious Fred of the Muskegon Fury, Slapshot of the Port Huron Flags, Big Boy Restaurant of Port Huron, Jet's Pizza of Port Huron, Palm's Crystal Bar of Port Huron and Quizno's Subs of Fort Gratiot.

Don't miss any of the fun. Tickets for all remaining Icehawks home games are available now the Icehawks office, McMorran Arena box office, all Ticketmaster locations and www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket information can be found online at www.porthuronicehawks.com.

Walk-up tickets for children 14-and-under and senior citizens 62-and-over are just $5 when purchased on game days at the Icehawks office or the McMorran Arena box office. For more info call 810-966-3800.
